  i'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the latest steaming pile of $#@!

  from the convention this year.

  my mother in law took the kids to the convention for one day.

  I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the latest steaming pile of $#@! from the convention this year. My mother in law took the kids to the convention for one day. My 13 year old son showed the book to me. He wanted my thoughts on it. I had to stop reading after about 5 minutes. This new book, " Bearing Thorough Witness, About God's Kingdom", is, In my opinion, the most blatant attempt to explain why the Governing Body is AWESOME!!! They seem to be openly comparing themselves to the apostles.

  It seems to me that the GB is trying to keep as many as possible from leaving.

  Any thoughts?

  i couldn't help myself.

  it was so obnoxious what the paragraph was saying about apostates.. so i said that having a difference of opinion is not a problem but really as brought out by thessolonians it is when a person raises themselves up above god to have people follow them instead of god that they are considered bad in god's eyes.. i don't even know if it had anything to do with the question, but i just wanted to say that, lol..

  You do realize that in the eyes of some of the hardcore elders, you can be called an apostate for even thinking differently than the WTS?

  It seems that you take the side of the WTS on every issue, yet decide for yourself what rules you will follow. I'll ask you this again, although I don't think you'll answer. If the WTS has "The Truth", why don't you follow all the rules, what is holding you back?

  I find it beyond ironic that you are posting comments bashing apostates on an apostate web sight!

  Are you aware that you could be labelled an apostate just for posting on this sight?

  I'm curious, are you an active witness, and if so, why do you feel the need to constantly defend the WTS on this board?

  If you are not an active witness, what is holding you back? If the WTS really is "The Truth" why jump back in with both feet?

  Why do you feel the need to have it both ways?

  Hi I'm new here

  feeling guilty already about being on here, the familiar words are recalled in my mind "don't go on any jehovah's witness websites except 'watchtower.org'!

  so here i am, desperate for some help.

  i'm 21 and have been studying for 2 years, i was made an unbaptised publisher in february and it was all going great until i had a problem with getting a little tipsy, the elders had to come scrape me off the floor of my witness friends house and take me home.

  Welcome to the forum.

  I'm sorry you're going through some tough times. Many of us here have gone through similar experiences, so this is a good place to be.

  It took me a while to really understand that there are no judgments here, feel free to speak your mind.

  You're too young to commit your life to a group that demands complete loyalty. There is a whole world out there full of great people, who will accept you for who you are, not with conditions. I think it's good to ask these questions before you dedicate your life to this cult. Even though you have a hard road ahead, it's so much easier to walk away before you get baptized.

  I was raised as a witness, and I really had no choice. The love bombing will stop eventually. There are sincere people in the organization, but remember, their acceptance of you is conditional, you need to follow the rules, no questions asked.

  Anyways, welcome, there is plenty of good advice and listening ears here.
